Job summary

Siemens is seeking Fire Alarm Systems Technician Interns based in Minnesota. The program offers hands‑on field experience, pairing interns with experienced technicians to install, program, and service fire and HVAC automation systems in commercial buildings.

Participants will also learn from sales exposure and project operations, while developing skills in troubleshooting, documentation, and customer interaction. Work authorization in the US is required for the program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required for all applicants.
• Enrollment or recent completion in a 2-year technical program related to electro-mechanical or fire protection is preferred.
• Must be able to work 40 hours per week for the 10-week program (May–August).

Responsibilities

• Spend most time on job sites installing, programming and servicing Fire and HVAC automation systems in commercial buildings.
• Assist in diagnosing issues, performing maintenance and support for new installations and system commissioning.
• Collaborate with engineering and project teams to resolve discrepancies and document service activities for customers.
