Job summary

Johnson Controls in the United States is seeking a skilled Field Service Technician specializing in low voltage electrical systems, Fire & Life Safety, Access Control, Nurse Call and Paging. You will diagnose and repair on-site, read blueprints, install panels, and provide outstanding customer service.

The role requires 2+ years of experience, the ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs, and flexibility to work weekends. A valid driver’s license and NICET II preferred.

Qualifications

• 2+ years documented experience in low voltage electrical systems including Fire/Life Safety.
• Experience reading blueprints, submittals and manuals.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to lift up to 50-70 lbs.
• NICET Level II certification strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and contact customer representatives to identify problems.
• Diagnose and repair on electronic fire alarm systems at customer sites.
• Read blueprints and troubleshoot using manuals and bulletins.
• Install and service various Fire & Life Safety systems including SimplexGrinnell.
• Maintain customer satisfaction through excellent communication and service.
• Prepare quotes and provide solutions to improve facility efficiency.
