Johnson Controls in the United States seeks a Service Technician to diagnose and repair fire alarm systems and related building technologies at client sites. You will read blueprints, follow manuals, and deliver high-quality service with strong customer focus.

Qualifications

• 3+ years’ experience with fire alarm, access control, security intrusion, sound and communications systems
• Must be able to interpret blueprints, diagrams and specifications
• A good working knowledge of computers is necessary
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions
• State of Ohio Fire Alarm License
• NICET II certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Receive service calls and diagnose equipment problems at customer sites
• Repair and service fire alarm systems and related building systems
• Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals and specifications
• Provide excellent customer service and document tasks accurately
• Participate in on-call rotation and after-hours work when required
• Provide quotes and upsell where appropriate
