Job summary

MVB Bank, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Manager, Fintech Pricing Strategy & Economics to lead profitability strategy, pricing methodology, and financial terms for fintech relationships. This role partners with senior finance leaders to ensure client engagements align with the bank's strategic goals.

The position sits in Finance and requires strong Excel modeling, forecasting, and cross-functional collaboration across Fintech and Business Development teams. Remote work is possible from multiple states.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in finance, accounting, economics, business administration, or a related business discipline.
• Demonstrated ability to construct complex and advanced Excel models.
• Working knowledge of banking economics, including deposit pricing, earnings credit, and the drivers of net interest margin.
• Familiarity with Banking as a Service (BaaS) and payments business models.
• Familiarity with sponsor bank economics.
• Demonstrated experience in forecasting and in the analysis of unit economics and partner level performance data.
• Strong analytical, investigative, documentation, and critical thinking skills.
• Strong ownership of, and accountability for, work product.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, manage, and prioritize multiple projects, tasks, or workflows.
• Strong presentation and communication skills, with the ability to influence business partners and executive management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across all levels of the organization.
• Advanced technical computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office products.
• Highly organized, driven, and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Own fintech profitability strategy, including the Establishment of methodology, thresholds, and return requirements.
• Develop and maintain financial models and projections to assess client profitability and make recommendations.
• Prepare pricing recommendations for new fintech clients across all components such as fees, deposits, earnings credit and revenue sharing.
• Lead the Finance review and recommendation during initial client evaluation and present to the Fintech Oversight Committee.
• Communicate approved strategy and pricing requirements to the fintech team during discussions and renewals.
• Evaluate profitability of the existing client portfolio and identify actions to improve returns.
• Establish and maintain relationships with key Fintech personnel and ensure engagements meet financial objectives.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to refine fintech strategy and serve as liaison with external and internal stakeholders.
