Job summary

Santander Consumer USA Inc. is seeking a Relationship Banker to serve as a trusted advisor, building strong, long-lasting relationships by understanding customers’ financial needs and goals. You will promote banking, lending and investment products while delivering exceptional service.

You will proactively prospect for new clients, cross-sell services, ensure compliant operations, and collaborate with team members to help the branch meet sales targets and growth objectives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
• 3+ years experience selling products and/or services in an incentive-based environment.
• 12+ months experience in retail banking sales or financial services sales role with proven success.
• 12+ months Santander experience related to Relationship Banker responsibilities.
• 12+ months customer service experience in a high-volume environment.
• Established relationship-building skills focused on customer experience and loyalty.
• Excellent communication, consultative and influence skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed sales targets by cross-selling banking products and services.
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients to understand financial needs and provide tailored solutions.
• Proactively prospect for new clients through networking, referrals, lead calling, and community engagement.
• Meet financial needs of customers including transactional, servicing, and product requirements.
• Ensure an elevated, personalized and attentive customer experience.
• Foster customer loyalty by addressing concerns and providing timely resolutions.
• Engage customers via digital platforms to enhance interactions and educate self-service options.
• Communicate clearly with customers in person, over the phone, or digitally.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal risk policies.
• Collaborate with team members and partners to achieve branch goals and drive performance.
