Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification is mandatory.
• Minimum 8 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance roles, with at least 3 years in a controller or senior management position.
• Extensive knowledge of IFRS, financial reporting, internal controls, and corporate governance.
• ERP systems experience and advanced financial modeling using Excel.
• Strong leadership, strategic thinking, and communication skills.
• Experience managing remote teams and working in multinational environments.
• Eligible to work remotely within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting department including financial reporting, general ledger, payables/receivables, and payroll.
• Ensure timely preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with IFRS and other standards.
• Develop and maintain internal controls to safeguard assets and data integrity.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Manage cash flow, treasury, and banking relationships.

About the Role

Our client, a thriving multinational corporation with significant operations, is seeking an accomplished and strategic Financial Controller to lead their remote finance function. This is a senior leadership role responsible for overseeing all aspects of financial reporting, accounting operations, internal controls, and financial planning. You will be a key player in driving financial strategy and ensuring the fiscal health and compliance of the organization, working entirely remotely. Demonstrated ability to manage complex financial operations and drive change. Experience in a multinational or large corporate environment is highly preferred. Must be eligible to work remotely within South Africa .
