Job summary

Ringside Talent Acquisition Partners seeks a seasoned Controller to own the full accounting function in a fully remote role based out of Atlanta, GA. You will oversee month-end close, GAAP compliance, audits, and internal controls while partnering with leadership on budgeting and forecasting.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in accounting with leadership experience, a strong GAAP and controls background, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required; CPA strongly preferred.
• 6+ years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, internal controls, and audit processes.
• Experience managing and developing accounting teams.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and lead a team effectively in a fully remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end and year-end close.
• Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements in accordance with GAAP.
• Manage the annual audit process and serve as primary liaison with external auditors.
• Develop, implement, and maintain strong internal controls across the accounting function.
• Oversee cash management, banking relationships, and treasury-related activities.
• Partner with leadership on budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning.
• Manage and develop a team of accounting professionals.
• Ensure compliance with tax filings and regulatory reporting requirements.
• Evaluate and improve accounting systems, processes, and reporting tools.
