Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• Professional accounting qualification (CA(SA), ACCA, CIMA) is mandatory.
• 7+ years of progressive experience in accounting and financial control.
• Experience with month-end close and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of IFRS and SA tax legislation.
• Strong analytical and communication skills.
• Ability to work remotely and manage time effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage financial operations for designated segments, including month-end close.
• Ensure IFRS compliance and statutory requirements.
• Develop and maintain robust internal controls.
• Drive process improvements and automation in accounting.
• Prepare financial statements and management reports.
• Conduct variance analysis and explain discrepancies.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors.
• Support budgeting and forecasting with relevant data.
• Mentor junior finance staff.
• Stay updated on remote-work accounting best practices.
