Job summary

Kids for the Future is hiring an Accounting Associate in the Cooperative Division to manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments across communities.

You will reconcile accounts, prepare financial statements, and support month-end close while coordinating with property managers and owners for budgeting and financial oversight. Proficiency in Excel and confidentiality are essential, with strong communication across teams.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience, preferably in fee management or MH community management.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial reporting.
• Proficient with reconciliation processes and month-end close.
• Strong analytical abilities and attention to detail.
• Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to handle confidential financial information professionally.
• Proficiency with Excel and MS Office; effective communication with vendors and managers.

Responsibilities

• Process accounts payable and accounts receivable transactions accurately and timely.
• Prepare and review invoices, vendor payments, and tenant rent payments.
• Reconcile accounts, resolve discrepancies, and assist with month-end and year-end closing.
• Maintain accurate financial records and update accounting software regularly.
• Generate and analyze financial reports including P&L, balance sheets, and cash flow summaries.
• Assist in developing and monitoring annual budgets for each managed community.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with property managers and ownership groups on rent collections and financial matters.
• Provide support during audits by gathering documentation and reports.
