Job summary

The Senior Accountant at Kids for the Future is responsible for managing the organization's accounting operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, maintaining compliance with GAAP, and supporting month-end and year-end closing processes.

This role also provides financial analysis, mentors junior staff, and assists with audits, budgeting, and cross-functional collaboration to support informed business decisions in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required in Accounting or Finance.
• 5–8 years of progressive accounting experience.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
• Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
• Manage general ledger activities and journal entries.
• Coordinate month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Reconcile bank accounts, balance sheet accounts, and intercompany transactions.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP and company policies.
• Prepare tax and statutory filings as applicable.
• Assist with internal and external audits and supporting documentation.
• Analyze financial data and identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
• Monitor accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Maintain fixed asset records and depreciation schedules.
• Mentor and supervise junior accounting staff.
• Collaborate with cross-functional departments to support financial decision-making.
