Job summary

Troutman Pepper is seeking a Finance Manager to oversee daily finance operations, reporting, budgeting, and analytics for the firm, its offices, and practice groups. You will build and maintain models, dashboards, and executive summaries to support senior leadership decisions.

The role requires strong leadership, deep accounting knowledge, and proficiency with SQL and analytics tools. Remote/hybrid work is supported, with in-office collaboration as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related business discipline.
• Minimum eight (8) years of progressive experience in finance, FP&A, or related analytical roles, preferably within a law firm or professional services environment.
• Minimum four (4) years of experience leading or supervising analysts or similar staff.
• Advanced proficiency in financial analysis, internal reporting, and variance analysis.
• Advanced proficiency with financial systems and analytics platforms, including ERP/GL and time & billing systems; advanced Excel skills; Power BI and Tableau.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily finance operations, reporting, budgeting, and variance reviews.
• Develop and implement dashboards and analytics for leadership and practice groups.
• Coordinate budgeting and multi-period forecasts with senior leadership.
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of data in collaboration with Accounting and IT.
• Mentor and develop finance team members; provide coaching and performance feedback.
• Prepare materials for external publications and benchmarking as needed.
