Job summary

DLA Piper is seeking a Knowledge Management Counsel – Finance to lead KM and AI-driven initiatives across the Finance practice. You will own strategy, collaborate with partners, and drive adoption of innovative solutions supporting client matters.

The role requires extensive Finance law and KM experience, with strong communication and project management skills, and a hybrid work arrangement across U.S. offices.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in Finance Law KM or related field.

Responsibilities

• Formulates and updates the Finance KM and innovation plan in consultation with practice leadership and partners.
• Collaborates with Finance practice group lawyers as the primary contact to solicit and translate ideas into AI-enabled solutions.
• Develops Finance-specific AI workflows, prompts, agents, playbooks, and knowledge resources.
• Advises Finance attorneys on AI tool selection for workflows and matter stages.
• Ideates, designs, and executes KM projects driving measurable improvements in efficiency and AI adoption.
• Curates Finance-specific forms, precedents, and knowledge assets.
• Develops and delivers KM/innovation training for Finance attorneys and clients.
• Captures and analyzes Finance market trends and opportunities for leadership.
• Coordinates with international colleagues on cross-border Finance projects.
• Optimizes collaboration across Finance lawyers, offices, and jurisdictions.
• Acts as ambassador for the KM Team and broader Knowledge & Innovation Dept.
• Collaborates with IT/Innovation, LSO, BD/Marketing, and international knowledge teams.
• Interfaces with senior leadership on KM strategy, resource allocation, and cross-functional initiatives.
