Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a detail-oriented Project Manager for Finance BI to own project monitoring, sprint planning, and stakeholder communications across finance, operations, and data engineering. You’ll maintain the Project Tracker, manage ServiceNow tickets, and ensure documentation and data catalogs stay current.

Ideal candidates have 5–8 years in project management or business analysis, a Bachelor’s degree in finance, IS, or business, and PM/BA certifications preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, required; focus in Finance, Information Systems, or Business, preferred
• Five (5) to eight (8) years of experience as a project manager, business analyst, or similar role, with monitoring/reporting on project portfolios
• Experience managing project intake, backlogs, or sprints using Azure DevOps or similar
• Experience with ITSM/ticketing tools such as ServiceNow, preferred
• Experience in finance, accounting, or a professional services environment, preferred
• PMI/BA certifications preferred (PMP/CBAP) and Scrum/Agile certifications preferred

Responsibilities

• Owns day-to-day monitoring of the project portfolio, ensuring timelines and deliverables are tracked and visible
• Maintains the Project Tracker as the single source of truth with accurate priorities, statuses, and timelines
• Provides concise project status updates to leadership, highlighting progress, risks, and decisions needed
• Identifies and helps unblock impediments by coordinating with cross-functional partners
• Manages intake, backlogs, sprints, and ServiceNow requests for Finance BI
• Monitors dependencies and reporting on intake volume, throughput, and aging items
• Keeps documentation, Data Catalog, and knowledge repos current; supports onboarding
• Conducts post-project reviews to capture lessons learned
