Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a Project Manager for Finance BI to own project monitoring, portfolio visibility, and issue resolution across the Finance BI initiatives. You will coordinate with finance, operations, and data engineering to surface risks and unblock progress.

The role demands strong organizational skills, experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and Power BI, and the ability to translate requirements into actionable user stories while ensuring timely delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; focus in Finance, Information Systems, or Business preferred.
• 5–8 years of project management or related experience with portfolio monitoring and reporting.
• Experience with Azure DevOps, ServiceNow, and ITSM tools preferred.

Responsibilities

• Owns day-to-day monitoring of the Finance BI project portfolio, ensuring timelines, milestones, and deliverables are tracked and visible to stakeholders and leadership.
• Maintains the Project Tracker as the single source of truth, ensuring priorities, statuses, owners, and timelines are accurate.
• Provides regular project status updates to leaders, highlighting progress, risks, and decisions needed.
• Proactively identifies and helps unblock project impediments by coordinating with cross-functional partners.
• Translates business needs into user stories and acceptance criteria for development in Azure DevOps.
• Manages request intake, backlog grooming, sprint planning support, and work item hygiene in DevOps.
• Monitors and reports on intake volume, throughput, and aging items to help prioritization.
• Maintains data catalog, documentation, and knowledge repositories to support onboarding and self-service.
