Job summary

BDO USA is seeking a BI Manager to lead a Finance BI team responsible for designing, building, and governing reporting, analytics, and automation solutions supporting Finance and business decisions.

You will set development standards, semantic models, and governance practices, overseeing Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Power Automate deliverables. The role emphasizes quality, security, and team performance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree, required.
• Five (5) or more years of experience within Data Analytics, Business Intelligence or Application Development, required.
• Two (2) or more years of experience leading or managing a technical team, required.
• Experience working with Finance data, preferred.

Responsibilities

• Leads, manages, and develops a team of Finance BI Developers and Analysts, including performance management, coaching, and career development.
• Serves as the primary escalation point for complex Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Power Automate issues that exceed the scope of individual developers.
• Owns and evolves Finance BI architecture, semantic model design standards, data governance practices, and development guidelines across the team.
• Partners with Finance leadership and business stakeholders to translate strategic priorities into a prioritized team roadmap and resourcing plan.
• Reviews and approves Power BI reports, semantic models, DAX measures, data transformations, and documentation before deployment to ensure quality and consistency.
