Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support accounting and financial tasks on a project-based basis across cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance. This internship treats each project as a small business and offers hands-on experience with labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.

You will participate in month-end close, help prepare a financial reporting package for project management, and gain exposure to budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, or equivalent.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Proficient in Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Willing to travel/relocate up to 50%.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving.
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, HR, and compliance.
• Support month-end close and prepare a financial reporting package for project management.
• Learn processes related to cost and revenue components for labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts.
• Collaborate with Operations and project teams to ensure accurate reporting.
• Maintain internal controls and ensure timely billing documentation.
