Job summary

Kiewit invites motivated interns to join the Power Market Finance team as a Finance Analyst Intern. This role focuses on cost control, payroll, and accounts payable/receivable, contributing to month-end close and financial reporting for multi-million to multi-billion projects.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required (up to 50%).
• Experience with Pivot Tables and V-Lookups is preferred.
• Effective communication, organization and interpersonal skills.
• Attention to detail and ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Must be able to access all parts of a construction site.

Responsibilities

• Recognize the importance of teamwork and adapt to project needs.
• Foster relationships with the Operations team and learn the work processes.
• Understand payroll and HR process workflows and master related systems.
• Maintain purchasing workflow internal controls and vendor payment processes.
• Assist with accounts payable/receivable and cost reporting workflows.
• Support month-end close and prepare financial reporting packages.
