Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support project accounting and finance tasks. The role covers cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, HR, and compliance, with emphasis on month-end close and financial reporting for project management.

Interns work across a broad set of cost/revenue components, including labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts, on projects ranging from $1M to $4B nationwide. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, economics, statistics, or business management.
• Legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Willing to relocate nationwide if required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Experience with Pivot Tables and VLOOKUPs is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and HR processes.
• Support month-end close and assist with financial reporting packages for project management.
• Learn and apply cost and revenue recognition across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontract costs.
• Maintain internal controls for purchasing and payment workflows.
• Collaborate with operations teams to ensure timely and accurate billing.
