Job summary

Kiewit is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern for Summer 2027 to support the Operational Finance department on Power Market projects. You will gain hands-on experience with cost control, payroll, AP/AR, and financial reporting as part of a project-based internship.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, Business Management, and/or equivalent degree.
• Must be legally authorized to work without sponsorship for employment to begin or continue.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Travel and/or relocation may be required for this position (up to 50%).
• Experience with Pivot Tables, V-Look Ups, and other key Excel functions is preferred.
• Effective communication (oral and written), organization and interpersonal skills.
• Good attention to detail with the ability to recognize discrepancies.
• Positive attitude, eagerness to learn, and passion for continuous improvement.
• Must be able to freely access all parts of a construction site in wide-ranging climates and environments.
• Ability to work independently, as well as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist with cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable and other finance tasks.
• Contribute to month-end close and prepare financial reporting packages for project management.
• Support revenue and cost recognition for projects ranging from $1M to $4B.
• Learn and apply accounting controls and project cost accounting practices.
