Job summary

Kiewit Nuclear Solutions is seeking a Finance Analyst Intern to support accounting and financial functions for a major project. The role focuses on cost control, payroll, accounts payable/receivable, and compliance within a project-specific small-business setup.

The intern will assist in month-end close, prepare financial reporting, and learn to use cost/revenue components across labor, equipment, materials, and subcontracts. Opportunities for training and growth are provided.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Statistics, or related field.
• Ability to relocate anywhere in the country.
• Strong Excel, Word, and Outlook skills.

Responsibilities

• Becoming a team player and adapt to project needs.
• Foster relationships with Operations and learn the work.
• Understand payroll and HR workflow and master hiring/pay systems.
• Manage purchasing workflow and internal controls.
• Support accounts payable workflow and vendor issues.
• Understand intercompany and client billing processes and timely billing.
• Ensure cost and cost adjustments meet reporting standards.
• Review forecast and budget issues with cost reports.
• Provide excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Maintain organized work environment and time management.
• Follow Corporate Compliance and labor laws.
