Job summary

ACV Auctions in Everett, WA is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector with strong automotive knowledge to join our growing team. You will inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease sites, document condition, and estimate repair or replacement costs.

You’ll work closely with Territory Managers, travel to inspections, take clear photos, and upload reports to our platform. The role requires independence, good communication, and a valid driver's license.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Proficient reading/writing/speaking English.
• Ability to work outdoors in the elements.
• Strong problem-solving abilities and resourcefulness.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication to understand customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Knowledge of basic systems and web-based applications.
• Ability to lift 25 lbs and perform manual labor.
• Ability to drive both manual and automatic transmission.
• Vision to identify small defects on and under vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and problems.
• Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition and repair/replacement estimates.
• Assist sales with up-sell or cross-sell opportunities.
• Interface with dealers to build client satisfaction and relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
• Take multiple photos and upload to the image server.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles for bidding on ACV Auctions platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers for the platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
