Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to join a growing company. Inspectors are the face of ACV Auctions, providing detailed vehicle condition reports and cost estimates to clients.

Inspectors partner with Territory Managers to inspect vehicles at various locations, travel to dealerships and homes, and upload photos to our image server. Strong communication and a valid driver's license are required.

Qualifications

• 1 year experience in automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem-solving aptitude and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while in a team.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to understand customer needs and expectations.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Knowledge of basic vehicle inspection tools/software.

Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports and repair/replacement cost estimates.
• Assist sales team with upsell or cross-sell of services and products.
• Build strong relationships with dealers to ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships and homes for inspections and write condition reports.
• Capture multiple photos and upload to image server via company smartphone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles for bidding and purchasing on the platform.
• Register independent dealerships as buyers on the digital platform.
