ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team. Inspectors are the face of the company, knowledgeable about cars, and communicate findings clearly to clients to ensure trust and transparency.

The role involves inspecting vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease locations, documenting conditions, and supporting the sales process with accurate reports and cost estimates.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem solving aptitude for challenges with resourcefulness and innovative approaches.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision while collaborating with a team.
• Excellent communicator with the ability to understand customer needs.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical problems.
• Prepare and submit a condition report, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related documents.
• Help the sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface regularly with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports and list vehicles for sale on the platform.
• Take multiple photos and upload them to the image server using the company smartphone.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles for bidding and purchasing on ACV Auctions platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use ACV Auctions platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
