Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team. The role centers on inspecting vehicles, documenting conditions, and communicating findings clearly to dealers and clients.

You will work with a Territory Manager and Inspectors, travel to dealerships and homes, and generate accurate condition reports while delivering excellent customer service and building lasting relationships.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in automobile field with customer service background.
• Must read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem solving and resourcefulness.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communication to understand customer needs.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
• Knowledge of relevant software and web-based applications.
• Ability to perform physical tasks (standing, lifting up to 25 lbs).

Responsibilities

• Support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports and cost estimates.
• Assist sales in up-selling or cross-selling services and products.
• Build strong relationships with dealers and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealership locations and homes for inspections and reporting.
• Capture and upload vehicle photos to the server using company devices.
• List inspected vehicles for bidding and purchasing on the platform.
• Sign up independent dealers as buyers to use ACV Auctions platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
