Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector who has a knack for cars and a desire to join a growing company. Inspectors are the face of ACV Auctions, talking to clients and delivering trust, transparency, credibility, and customer service daily.

Responsibilities include inspecting vehicles, preparing condition reports with repair estimates, and partnering with the sales team to maximize opportunities. Travel to dealerships will be required.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.
• Problem solving aptitude to meet challenges with resourcefulness.
• Proven ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Excellent communicator with ability to understand customer needs and expectations.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Inspect vehicles at dealerships, auctions, and off-lease to detect damage and mechanical issues.
• Prepare and submit reports of vehicle condition, repair/replacement cost estimates, and related docs.
• Assist sales team with up-sell or cross-sell of services and products.
• Interface with dealers to build strong relationships and ensure client satisfaction.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
