Job summary

ACV Auctions is seeking an enthusiastic Inspector to join our growing team. Inspectors are the face of ACV, leveraging knowledge of cars to explain conditions to clients and ensure top-notch service.

Candidates should be able to travel to dealerships, perform meticulous vehicle inspections, and produce detailed condition reports with cost estimates. Responsibilities include documenting vehicle condition, supporting sales with upsell opportunities, and maintaining strong dealer relationships.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Valid driver’s license and insured vehicle required.
• Ability to lift and perform manual labor as needed.

Responsibilities

• Actively support efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Conduct inspections of vehicles at dealerships and auctions to detect damage and issues.
• Prepare and submit condition reports with repair/replacement estimates.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface with dealers to ensure client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write reports.
• Capture photos of vehicles and upload to the image server.
• List inspected vehicles for bidding and purchasing on ACV platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers for the platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
