Job summary

ACV Auctions is hiring an enthusiastic Inspector who loves cars and wants to join a growing team. Inspectors are the face of ACV, explaining vehicle conditions to clients with clarity and energy.

You will travel to dealerships and off-lease sites to assess vehicles, write detailed reports, and support sales with relevant services. The role requires one year of automotive experience, customer service skills, and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• 1 year of experience in the automobile field with customer service background.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.
• Ability to work outside in the elements for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
• Partner with a Territory Manager and Inspectors to conduct vehicle inspections at dealerships, auctions and off-lease to detect damage and problems.
• Prepare and submit a report of vehicle condition, repair/replacement costs and related documentation.
• Help sales team up-sell or cross-sell services and products.
• Interface with dealers to develop client satisfaction and build relationships.
• Travel to dealerships and homes to inspect and write condition reports.
• List inspected wholesale vehicles on ACV Auctions platform.
• Sign up independent dealerships as buyers to use the platform.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
