Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking energetic professionals for a Contract Utility Forester role. The job involves outdoor field work, tree and brush assessment along utility lines, and coordinating vegetation management crews in Indiana.

Strong communication and organization are essential for success. The candidate should have forestry-related education or equivalent experience, with GIS and MS Office proficiency; ISA Arborist certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources degree or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus two years of UVM experience.
• High school diploma/GED requirement can be substituted with 5 years of related UVM experience.
• ISA Arborist certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned tree clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.
