Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Contract Utility Forester to work outdoors in Indiana. The role involves identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees along utility lines, submitting findings with recommendations, and coordinating line-clearance crews.

Ideal candidates have forestry or related degree, a valid driver's license, strong communication skills, and experience with GIS or Microsoft Office. We offer a company vehicle, benefits, ESOP, and a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Two- or four-year forestry, Environmental Science, Natural Resources degree or equivalent.
• High school diploma/GED plus two years UVM experience; 5 years related UVM experience can substitute.
• Previous vegetation management experience preferred.
• ISA Arborist certification preferred.
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite; GIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned line-clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues.
• Serve as liaison between clients, crews, and customer.
