Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is hiring a Consulting Utility Forester to perform identification, inspection, and evaluation of trees along utility lines.

You will submit inspection results with recommendations, plan and coordinate vegetation-clearance crews, and liaise with clients, crews, and customer stakeholders. Ideal candidates have forestry-related degrees or equivalent experience, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and GIS tools.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in forestry or related field; or HS diploma with 2 years UVM experience
• Vegetation management experience preferred
• ISA Arborist/TRAQ/ISA Utility Specialist preferred
• Competent with Microsoft Office Suite
• GIS experience preferred but not required
• Self-motivated, organized, production oriented

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations
• Plan, direct, and coordinate vegetation clearance crews
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access issues
• Serve as liaison between clients, crews, and customer customers
