Job summary

ACRT, Inc. seeks energetic forestry professionals for field-based Consulting Utility Forester roles. Candidates may be entry-level or experienced with education in forestry, horticulture, arboriculture, environmental studies, or related fields.

Responsibilities include identifying and evaluating trees along utility lines, reporting findings with recommendations, coordinating crews, and liaising among clients, crews, and customer stakeholders.

Qualifications

• 2- or 4-year degree in forestry, horticulture, environmental science or closely related field; high school diploma/GED with 2 years related experience allowed.
• Vegetation management experience preferred.
• ISA Certified Arborist/TRAQ/ISA Utility Specialist preferred.
• Competent in Microsoft Office; GIS experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify, inspect, and evaluate trees and brush along utility lines.
• Submit inspection results to clients with recommendations.
• Plan, direct, and coordinate activities of assigned line-clearance crews.
• Discuss and negotiate line-clearance crew access with stakeholders and clients.
• Serve as liaison between clients, tree crews, and client customers.
