Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester I to inspect trees and brush along utility lines, coordinate clearance crews, and report results with recommendations. The role emphasizes outdoor work, safety, and strong communications with clients and teams.

Preferred candidates hold an forestry/Horticulture degree or related experience, with ISA certification encouraged. The position offers training opportunities and a company vehicle, based in New Jersey.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field OR high school diploma/GED plus two years of UVM experience; waiver with 5 years related experience for HS diploma.
• Bachelor's degree in Forestry or Horticulture preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inspect local trees and brush along utility lines; map circuits and inspect per client lists.
• Coordinate activities of tree clearance crews and track work progress.
• Perform post-audit forms and ensure compliance with work requests.
• Obtain permits and comply with regulatory requirements; participate in emergency response as needed.
