Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is hiring a Consulting Utility Forester (CUF) 1 in Morristown, NJ. The role focuses on identifying, inspecting, and evaluating trees and brush along utility lines and providing inspection results with actionable recommendations.

You will plan and coordinate activities of tree clearance crews and communicate with clients, property owners, and line contractors. The position requires outdoor work, strong attention to detail, and excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Must have an Associates degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field, OR a high school diploma/GED with 2 years of UVM experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in Forestry or Horticulture is a plus.
• ISA Arborist Certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inspect local trees along utility lines.
• Map circuits and coordinate with client crews.
• Audit tree trimming and assess contractor work for compliance.
• Assist with storm restoration and emergency response as needed.

Education

Associates degree in Forestry, Biology, Natural Resources, Environmental Science or related field

High school diploma/GED + 2 years of UVM experience

Bachelor’s Degree in Forestry or Horticulture
