Job summary

ACRT, Inc. is seeking a Consulting Utility Forester (CUF) 1 to inspect and evaluate trees along utility lines and coordinate tree-clearing crews. The role emphasizes outdoor work, attention to detail, and strong communication with clients.

The CUF will plan, direct, and coordinate activities, perform inspections, and support storm restoration as needed. A valid driver’s license and ISA certification are part of the responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Associates degree in forestry, horticulture or related field required.
• Two years of related utility experience preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Identify and inspect local trees along utility lines.
• Map circuits using client continuity lists.
• Patrol and investigate distribution/transmission circuits and coordinate work by contractors.
• Enter tree trimming/ brush removal prescriptions into handheld systems.
• Notify property owners of work per client specifications.
• Manage work issuance and track progress.
• Assist with storm restoration efforts.
• Maintain compliance with regulations and standards.
