Job summary

DRMP, Inc. is seeking Transportation Technicians and CEI Inspectors to support roadway and bridge construction across North Carolina. Positions are field-heavy with most work at project sites, assigned to a home office.

Exact site and level will depend on education, experience, and client requirements. Opportunities include company vehicle, cell reimbursement, and hands-on training for career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent plus 4+ years construction inspection experience (1+ year in roadway/bridge construction).
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field plus 2+ years inspection experience (1+ year in roadway construction).
• Candidates evaluated against position/client-specific qualifications.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities for compliance with contract documents, plans, standards, and specs.
• Perform field tests and collect material samples for lab testing.
• Prepare daily diaries and reports of contractor activities, progress, and findings.
• Maintain field books, density logs, material reports, quantity records, and pay docs.
• Measure and verify construction dimensions, alignments, elevations, and quantities.
• Prepare documentation for progress payments and final estimates.
• Enter and maintain project reports using computers/tablets.
• Communicate clearly with project personnel and report deficiencies to supervision.
• Follow DRMP safety requirements and procedures.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
