Job summary

DRMP, Inc. is expanding its Construction/CEI team in North Carolina. Join as a Transport Technician or CEI Inspector to support roadway and bridge projects in Asheville and surrounding areas.

You will work on field inspections, testing, and documentation while collaborating with engineers and project teams. Positions require relevant education and experience, with opportunities for mentoring, advancement, and career development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years of construction inspection experience (1+ year in roadway or bridge construction)
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field with 2+ years of inspection experience (1+ year in roadway construction)
• Candidates evaluated against specific qualifications per assignment

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities for compliance with contract documents, plans, standards and specs
• Perform field tests and collect material samples for lab testing
• Prepare daily diaries and reports documenting activities, progress and findings
• Maintain field books, logs, and pay documentation
• Measure and verify construction dimensions, elevations and quantities
• Enter and maintain project reports in reporting systems
• Communicate clearly with project personnel and report deficiencies to supervision
• Follow DRMP safety requirements and project procedures
