Job summary

DRMP, Inc. is seeking Transportation Technicians and CEI Inspectors in Troutman, NC. You will support engineers and inspection teams, perform field tests, take material samples, and document progress on roadway and bridge construction projects.

Qualifications

• HS diploma or equivalent with 4+ years construction inspection experience (1+ year roadway/bridge)
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field with 2+ years inspection experience (1+ year roadway)
• Qualifications vary by specific position and client assignment

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities for compliance with contract documents, plans, standards, and specs
• Perform field tests and collect material samples for lab testing
• Prepare daily diaries and reports documenting contractor activities and progress
• Maintain field books, density logs, material reports, quantity records, and pay documentation
• Measure and verify construction dimensions, alignment, elevations, and quantities
• Perform construction calculations and prepare documentation for progress payments and final estimates
• Enter and maintain project reports using computers, tablets, and reporting systems
• Communicate clearly with project personnel and report deficiencies to supervisor
• Follow DRMP safety requirements and project procedures
• Perform other duties appropriate to position level and project assignment
