Job summary

DRMP, Inc. in Raleigh, NC seeks Transportation Technicians and CEI Inspectors to support roadway and bridge construction projects. You will assist engineers and inspection teams with field inspection, sampling, testing, documentation, and surveying as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with 4+ years construction inspection experience (1+ year in roadway or bridge).
• Associate degree in Civil Engineering Technology or related field with 2+ years inspection experience (1+ year roadway).
• Qualifications evaluated per specific position and client assignment.

Responsibilities

• Inspect construction activities for compliance with plans, standards, and specs.
• Perform field tests and collect material samples for laboratory testing.
• Prepare daily diaries and reports documenting contractor activities and progress.
• Maintain field books, density logs, material reports, and pay documentation.
• Measure and verify construction dimensions, elevations, and quantities.
• Perform calculations and prepare supporting docs for progress payments and estimates.
• Enter and review project reports using computers/tablets.
• Communicate clearly with project personnel and report deficiencies to supervisors.
• Exercise initiative and independent judgment appropriate to position level.
