RMS Energy Co. in Reno, NV is seeking an entry-level Transformer Test Technician I to support transformer testing and maintenance across the U.S.

You will perform hands-on electrical testing, troubleshoot, and assist with reports under the guidance of experienced technicians and engineers in real-world field settings. The role requires a high school diploma, ability to travel up to 80%, and comfortable reading procedures and wiring diagrams.

Competenze

• 0–1 years transformer testing experience
• Ability to read and follow technical procedures and wiring diagrams
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and basic computer systems

Mansioni

• Perform basic transformer testing and troubleshooting (Megger, TTR, SFRA, Power Factor, Core Ground)
• Assist with testing alarms and system protection components
• Support passivation and accessory testing procedures
• Troubleshoot and repair control wiring in the field
• Participate in OEM-, utility-, and customer‑directed testing procedures
• Document test results and prepare customer‑ready reports with accuracy
• Safely operate construction and industrial equipment within capacity guidelines
• Maintain tools, vehicles, and equipment in safe working condition
• Follow strict safety and PPE usage protocols due to noise, electrical hazards, and elevated work areas
