Job summary

RMS Energy is seeking Transformer Technicians to travel across the continental United States, inspecting, maintaining, and repairing power transformers at substations, plants, and industrial sites. You’ll join experienced crews, replace components, perform routine service, and support customers in a safety‑focused environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• ,
• Must be able to read and follow instructions.
• Strong communication and safety awareness required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble transformer components and radiators, bushings and conservators.
• Perform degassing, pressure and vacuum testing with dehydrator units.
• Re gasket units and fabricate gaskets/O-rings as needed.
• Assist with teardown and prep of transformers for transport or disposal.
• Identify and fix basic wiring and mechanical issues.
• Complete tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule.
• Inspect tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment for safe operation.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements in noisy, elevated environments.
• Support sales by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads.
