RMS Energy in Arizona seeks a Transformer Technician I to join a fast-growing team focused on transformer assembly, oil processing, and on-site service for critical energy infrastructure across the U.S. The role offers hands-on work at power plants, substations, and industrial facilities with growth opportunities in a safety-first environment.

You will assemble components, perform testing, assist with teardown and transport preparation, and report opportunities to the sales team.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel up to 80%.
• Pass a DOT physical and background checks.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• English proficiency for safe and effective communication in noisy environments.

Responsabilités

• Assemble transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators
• Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
• Re‑gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O‑rings when needed
• Assist with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal
• Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
• Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule
• Inspect and operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working near noise, electrical hazards, and at elevated heights
• Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads
