RMS Energy Co, LLC is seeking a Transformer Technician I to join our field operations. The role involves assembling transformer components, performing degassing and testing, and assisting with teardown and preparation for transport or disposal.

Strong safety awareness and basic computer skills are required. Ideal candidates have up to one year of transformer oil processing or assembly experience, good communication, and the ability to travel up to 80% across the continental U.S.

Qualifications

• Up to one year of experience in transformer oil processing, service, or assembly.
• Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office and online platforms.
• Clear and professional communication skills with the ability to follow instructions.
• Self-motivated and able to work independently while meeting team objectives.

Responsabilités

• Assemble transformer components such as radiators, bushings, and conservators
• Perform degassing, pressure, and vacuum testing using dehydrator units
• Re-gasket units and fabricate gaskets or O-rings when needed
• Assist with teardown and preparation of transformers for transport or disposal
• Identify and resolve basic wiring and mechanical issues
• Complete assigned tasks and daily work orders accurately and on schedule
• Inspect and operate tools, vehicles, and heavy equipment safely
• Follow all safety protocols and PPE requirements when working near noise, electrical hazards, and at elevated heights
• Support the sales team by reporting project opportunities and potential customer leads
