Formación

• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to pass background and motor vehicle records checks.
• 1–3 years of experience and 2,000 in-field hours in traffic control.
• Must pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
• Wear safety equipment including boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Strong reading/writing to comply with road signs and paperwork; know applicable safety regs.
• Able to read plans and ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained.
• Willingness to travel statewide with occasional overnight stays; rotating on-call schedule.

Responsabilidades

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT vehicle to and from projects and work sites.
• Drive TMA vehicle to protect workers and work zones.
• Place temporary construction signs and position arrow boards in work areas.
• Set up traffic cones and other safety devices in work zones.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items remain in place.
• Load and unload traffic control items at shift start/end.
• Install, remove, and reset delineators, signs, and posts.
• Perform shop maintenance and repairs on equipment.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; perform other duties as assigned.
