Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures, operate MOT and TMA vehicles, and ensure safety on state highways and roadways. The role involves delivering and picking up safety products, following contractor directions, and working independently or with a crew.

Candidates should have 1–3 years in traffic control, pass background checks, DOT drug testing, and be able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License required.
• 1–3 years of traffic control experience; 2000 field hours.
• Must pass background and motor vehicle records checks.
• Must pass a drug test under federal DOT requirements.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must complete ATSSA TCT intermediate training.
• Willingness to travel statewide with possible overnight stays.
• Nights and weekends rotation as required.

Responsibilities

• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment to job sites.
• Drive MOT and TMA vehicles to and from projects and on work sites.
• Set up traffic control devices and signs, cones, and boards in work areas.
• Monitor the work zone to ensure items remain in their proper locations and safe.
• Load and unload traffic control items at the beginning and end of shifts.
• Perform shop maintenance and repair of equipment as needed.
• Follow safety rules and company policies; work near schools if required.
