Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems, Inc. is seeking an Experienced Traffic Control Technician II to set up and maintain safe lane closures on roadways and highways. The role involves driving MOB equipment, coordinating with crews, and ensuring DOT safety standards are met.

The position requires travel across the state and flexibility for night and weekend shifts. Qualified candidates will have 1–3 years of traffic control experience and a valid driver’s license, with ATSSA TCT intermediate training

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 1-3 years of traffic control experience with 2,000 field hours.
• Must pass background check including motor vehicle records.
• Must pass a drug test and meet DOT requirements.
• Wear safety boots, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Ability to read plans and implement traffic control plans.
• Willingness to travel statewide with possible overnight stays.
• Able to lift up to 70 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down lane closures on state highways and other roadways.
• Redirect traffic for workers or survey crews as needed.
• Assemble, deliver, and pick up safety products from job sites.
• Operate company trucks to transport materials and equipment.
• Maintain safe work zones and adhere to safety regulations.
• Perform basic shop maintenance on equipment.
