Job summary

RoadSafe Traffic Systems is seeking a Traffic Control Technician II to set up and take down lane closures on state highways and roadways, ensuring the safety of assigned projects. You will redirect traffic for workers or survey crews and handle safety products from job sites, following contractor directions.

The role requires valid driver’s license, 1–3 years of traffic control experience, DOT compliance, and a willingness to travel statewide.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver’s License required.
• 1-3 years of traffic control experience with 2,000 field hours preferred.
• Background check and motor vehicle records review required.
• Drug test and DOT requirements must be met.
• Wear safety boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest.
• Basic reading/writing to comply with road signs and paperwork.
• Reading plans and implementing traffic control plans.
• Knowledge of state/local roadways; operating delivery vehicles.
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds.
• Must complete ATSSA TCT intermediate training.
• Willing to travel statewide, with possible overnight stays; may include nights/weekends.
• Mechanical background is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Set up and take down lane closures on highways and roadways.
