Job summary

Victaulic is seeking a Field Tool Technician to support our Application Engineering team in the Southwest. You will apply technical knowledge and communication skills to provide on-site tool support, maintenance and consulting services at customer facilities across your territory.

You will perform tool maintenance, troubleshooting and calibration while learning our products, standards, and codes. This role requires up to 80% travel and offers a company vehicle, laptop and mobile phone as part of

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service or equipment maintenance experience.
• Mechanical aptitude and high organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reading technical manuals, schematics, shop math, and precision instruments.
• Capability to perform all field service functions, including equipment setup, maintenance, and repair.
• Ability to lift within OSHA-approved limits and work at heights, in confined spaces, at customer facilities.
• Extensive travel up to 80% across the Southwest territory.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and generating service reports.

Responsibilities

• Train customer personnel on proper tool operation, maintenance procedures and safety protocols.
• Independently coordinate and schedule customer visits and maintain relationships.
• Provide onsite consulting on tool operation and shop setup to maximize productivity.
• Provide on-site tool support and maintenance at customer facilities.
• Perform troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance on tools and equipment.
• Respond to service calls for malfunctions with expert diagnosis and repair.
• Perform on-site calibration, testing and commissioning of new tools.
• Conduct warranty evaluations and repairs of company tools at customer sites.
• Maintain customer tool inventories and service records with detailed reports.
• Maintain professional customer relationships and provide technical consultation.
• Follow all safety requirements and participate in safety reviews.
