Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to install, repair, and test MACD on telecom equipment. You will support customer optical, electrical, voice and data services, and test circuits with OTDRs.

The role requires 5+ years in telecommunications, strong communication, and the ability to work independently in the field while maintaining safety and service quality.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Positive, customer‑focused attitude enabling calm handling of challenging situations.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client.
• Resolve customer issues calmly using de‑escalation techniques.
• Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable and installing data circuits for internet connectivity.
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
