Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services is seeking a Field Operations Technician to install, repair, configure and test MACD moves on Nokia, Infinera and Ciena equipment, supporting fiber, copper, voice and data services. OTDR testing will be used to verify circuits and network integrity, with emphasis on customer satisfaction and service quality.

You will travel with a company vehicle, perform on‑site work in various environments, and adhere to Ledcor safety standards while providing reliable, best‑in‑class

Qualifications

• 5+ years in telecommunications, business installation or cabling is preferred.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college would be preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Clear and efficient verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to work in the field independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver a high‑quality, customer‑focused service experience to every client
• Resolve customer issues calmly and professionally using de‑escalation techniques
• Perform on‑site installation and repair of internet services, copper and fiber cabling, demarc extensions, and rack‑mounted networking equipment
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable, replacing hardware components, and installing data circuits for internet connectivity
• Follow Ledcor’s safety standards and ensure proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment at all times
