Job summary

Ledcor Technical Services (LTS) is seeking a Field Operations Technician to install, repair, configure and test MACD activities on Nokia, Infinera and Ciena equipment. You will support optical, electrical, voice, and data services and test circuits with OTDR.

The role requires 5+ years in telecom, strong customer service, and the ability to work independently in varying conditions. Travel with company vehicle is expected; safety is a priority.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in telecommunications, business installation and service for electronics, appliances, security, and/or cabling.
• Demonstrates a positive, customer-focused attitude in challenging situations with integrity and empathy.
• Degree or diploma from a technical college preferred.
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office suite.
• Experience working in the field independently in a dynamic environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality, customer-focused service on every client site.
• Resolve customer issues calmly using effective de-escalation techniques.
• Perform on-site installation and repair of internet services, cabling, demarc extensions, and rack-mounted networking gear.
• Diagnose technical problems and implement solutions, including running new cable and replacing hardware.
• Follow Ledcor safety standards and proper use of vehicles, tools, and equipment.
